Head swim coach Coach Kevin returns for his sixth year as head coach of PSDT. Kevin has been around swimming his entire life, spending most of his summers at Lakeside Swim Club. He began to swim competitively his junior year of high school and swam one year at Union College where he swam the 200 breaststroke and 400 individual medley. Kevin has coached the pre-competitive swimmers at Lakeside for the past 5 years and this will be his fifth as a Plainview coach. Kevin is a student at UofL and evening Assistant Manager for Vint Coffee on Frankfort Ave. With what spare time he has, Kevin enjoys disc golf, giving swimming lessons, spending time with his family, and reading a good book. His favorite stroke would be the breaststroke, and his favorite event is the 100 IM. Go Wahoos!
Dive Coach Daniel Fecteau is returning to PSDT for a 2nd season. He is from Olathe, Kansas and is diving for the University of Louisville. As a member of iDiveKC under Coach Christian Zarif, Fecteau took home Kansas High School State Championships in both 2013, 2014, 2015 on the 1m Springboard. He was an Eastern Kansas League Champion in 2014 and 2015. He also qualified for Nationals at Regionals in Southlake, Texas. His best scores in the 1-meter springboard is 378.45 (6-dive) and 553.65 (11-dive). He was also a state qualifier in the pole vault.
Assistant coach James Francis is back on the coaching side this time for PSDT. James is a past Matt Pierce award winner and PSDT alumni. He swam at Plainview from seven to graduating from our swim program at eighteen. He swam all four years for Saint Xavier High School, and has helped coach Saint Margaret Mary’s CSAA swim team for the past four years. James is looking forward to having fun and working hard, with all of our Whaoo's this summer and glad to be a part of the PSDT Family again!
Assistant Coach Audrey Hixenbaugh. Audrey swam for Plainview for 8 years, starting at age 11, for Cardinal Aquatics for 7 years and Ballard HS for 3 years where she was a part of the regional and state teams, holding several school records. She just finished her freshman year at Bellarmine University, majoring in Nursing, and is a member of the Bellarmine Swim Team and competes in the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free and occasionally the 1000 free. When not studying, coaching and swimming for school Audrey enjoys kayaking, hiking, babysitting, and spending time with family and friends.
Michaela Sliney will be joining us for her first season as a assistant dive coach!
